Terms of Hire

Our agreement with you ....

What You Pay
When you hire a hat/bag from we can take a deposit but always charge the whole hire fee before hire.  This can be paid online through our booking system or in person through a phone banking app.


Collection and Hire
Hat hire  generally covers three days but for weddings/events overseas we can charge a small additonal fee for extra days.  

We cannot accept hats/bags returned via post unless previously agreed . Only hand delivery is accepted to make sure the hat/bag is in the same condition as when it was hired.

If you hire a hat/bag for a weekend event Friday to Sunday , you must return the hat no later than the following Tuesday. If you hire a hat for a weekday event Monday to Thursday then you must return it no later than three working days after the event.  If there are unforeseen circumstances, please let us know as soon as possible and we will try to accomodate you.

Cancellation
Unfortunately,I am unable to give refunds if you don’t wear the hat/bag because plans have changed or the event is cancelled.  Once hired, the hat/bag has to be paid for.

Damage And Repairs 
When you hire a hat or bag from Hats4Hire, the rental will only cover the cost of minor repairs so if the hat/bag needs replacing then a higher charge will be enforced.

Damage includes loss of  embellishments; marks or spoilage from water, oil or make-up, and scratches or material tears.  If you return a hat with damage (including smoke) you agree to pay for the repairs.   If you return a hat with damage that means it can no longer be hired,  you agree to pay the full cost of replacing the hat/bag.


Social Media
If you are able to supply photos of you wearing the hat/bag we would love to put on our Social media channels.  Please email to info@hats4hire.com.

Care Instructions

All hats are supplied in our lovely hat boxes, and all hats are carefully wrapped in tissue. Please can you make sure you return them in the same condition. The hat is your responsibility until it's delivered back to us so please take care of it, most of our hats are very delicate. 


•     Avoid moisture — Hats are sensitive to water and can be permanently damaged by even light drizzle. Carry an umbrella and seek shelter on wet days.

•     Minimise handling — Oils from skin, food or cosmetics can stain delicate materials. Once the hat is secured, avoid touching it; wash and thoroughly dry your hands before removing or adjusting the hat.

•     Reduce makeup transfer — Foundation and powder are difficult to remove from hat interiors. Blot the forehead with a tissue to remove excess oil before fitting the hat.

•     Protect elastics — If you have long hair, secure it in a loose bun when fitting the hat to avoid overstretching or snapping the elastic.

•     Store safely during active moments — Remove the hat before high‑energy dancing !! Wrap it carefully and return it to its box, placing it somewhere safe and out of the way.
